My poetry, Verse 2

I thought that my other page was getting kinda full, so I decided to make another page with the other poems I have written, or am going to write.

Think about it

There are things worth living for

There are things worth dying for

There are things worth working for

There are things worth waiting for

There are things worth searching for

There are things worth suffering for

There are many things I've seen

Now which of these things are you?

You think this is a question

But do not answer yet

Think about the other people

All those people you've met

To some you may be all these things

To others, maybe none

Then those to who there is no difference

And those who to them, you're the one

Now that youve thought a bit

Youve wondered, maybe with doubt

You could also be thinking

What is he talking about?

But if you've thought about it

And if you've thought this through

Think, to someone else

Which one of these are you?

This is a new National Anthem I was requested to make.

We stand under the starry sky

Staring at the moon filled night

Thinking of all the freedoms we share

Us being all shades of black and white

We fought hard for all these freedoms

We fought hard to reach this place

We wont give up without a fight

Our pride glows upon our face

Red, white and blue, our colors

They stand for the life of the free

Nothing is impossible

We, as one, will always be

A blend of life and culture

A diverse ethnic wave

We work together in America

Home of the free and brave.

A Selfless Wish

I wish for you a happy life

This is where I'll start

I hope forever never comes

For in soul, we'll never part

I pray you have a gentle mind

Never angered, never harsh

In the end, I hope you'll find

Someone worth your abounding love

Where you'll be, I do not know

But still, you'll always stay

Within my heart and on my mind

Continuing from day to day

I wish for you the best

For you, I'll always miss

So heed my heartfelt plea

And take to heart my selfless wish

~To the one who will never leave my heart or mind.

True Friend

I wander along the sandy shore

Looking for something to hold

You crossed my sight that day I see

You crossed my sight so bold

I lift my head to see you

My mouth opens to voice

You gently close it, silently

I have no other choice

You reach right out and grasp my arm

You help me along the sandy shore

I see your face, it's gentle glow

Your voice, a sea wave's roar

You say "Everything is fine

That I will be all right

For when you need me the most

I won't be far from sight

Just then you vanished out of view

Knowing that there would be no end

For when I needed you the most

There you would be, my one true friend.

Stargazing

I lie upon my back
I stare up at the sky
You gaze up, beside me
Watching time roll by
We pass every moment
Together, naught a sound
Embracing eachother warmly
With not a soul around
We look not at eachother
We just gaze into air
Our minds surrounded by the stars
For they are everywhere
I think about the times I've gazed
At the stars and on your face
My heart, at this very moment
Would, for nothing, leave this place
I gaze further through the heavens
God's face gazes down on me
I pray silently, in thanks
For all he's let me see
I then turn, and you towards me
We share a warm embrace
My mind then drifts so gently
And sleeps upon your face.

Getting Out

There is this empty space inside of me
The space grows larger by the day
I can't get out, I must get out
I can't seem to find the way
The walls run far, they don't close in
I can't escape, I can not run
How did I get stuck in here
What on earth have I done
I run endless mile just to find
Nothing here, nothing there
All alone I fight the darkness
The emptiness leaves me no care
I look left and right, but what
I still see nothing there
I
look down, then up, and AH!
A light comes through a tear
I will gaze upon this light
One day I will reach it and be free
But now I'm stuck here, frozen
In this empty space in me.

Ocean of Love

What can I do with this ocean of love
The ocean that poured down straight from above
It swells up inside, bursting over its walls
I can not keep it, for one name it calls
Will you accept, I can not say
For you, this love, I would give away
Your heart, it is so full of fire
Your love is my heart's one desire
Your beauty, I find to be quite unique
Your face, your eyes, this is what I seek
Your mind, such life, hits straight to my core
Your movements, you sylph, I watch and adore
Your hands, so soft, they never grow cold
Your form, so pure, I desire to hold
For you, it would seem, have been sent from above
For you, all I have, is my ocean of love

Relaxation

Calmly flowing waters
Smell the salty air
Floating on the ocean waves
Imagine you're not there
Waves break along the sandy shore
See the shine rise in the sand
Fly above the great white clouds
Stay with me and hold my hand
Escape your mind, follow mine
Relax your senses, let them flow
Relieve yourself of all the pressure
Take your heart and let it go
Feel the pressure lifted
The light shines on the shore
You hear the waves crashing again
The hot sun burns once more
The waves break upon the beach
Consciousness returns to you
Now isn't it amazing what
A little relaxation can do

~Katie, this one's for you.

One Chance

Why is it that I stay here
As you drift away from me
Mental breakdown from the stress
Of my feelings, you will see
How shall I say those words to you
They mean nothing when they're said
But yet I feel I need to mention
How I feel, to stay ahead
Seeing you will make my day for
In my mind you're perfect, whole
In your mind I'm just another
Person who could play the role
Of a friend who lives of self
Who's only there for company
Without a care for how you feel
Without a helping hand to give
Selfish and self satisfying
But selfless, this is how I live
Give one chance, that's all I need
To show you how your view is wrong
I think of you more than myself
Oh, I've thought of you all along
Just one chance is all I ask
From you, there's nothing I can hide
When I hold you higher than
Myself in such a world of pride

Tell me how you like them, and as of late, I do take requests... just e-mail me a subject for a poem, and I will do my best to try and make a good one.
