Prologue
Diyanæn, a beautifully crafted landscape located
in the distant reaches of Taronen. There are small villages located to the north
and east of this simple area. To the west you can see the Mountains of Rathoril
which is the border between Diyanæn and Nathriln. The Mountains of Rathoril are
virtually impassable by any means other than flight as they are sheer cliffs on either side.
Slightly east of the mountains is the Forest of Doldien. This forest is home to many creatures and unusual plant life. South
of the forest is the Sea of Galreon. Vastly unexplored area lies in this sea, and remains a mystery up to this day.
Looking up north you will see a small village
with what appears to be a local training facility. This small building belongs
to Master Draycor, a former member of the LifeSpring. Draycor is an aging, white-haired
mage who has mastered the powers of both the LightSpring and the DarkSpring. This
was a gift from the LifeSpring. Draycor had recently opened this training facility
in hopes of finding another who could harness both sides of the LifeSpring. Draycor
mainly trained young mages in the art of their choosing, but always kept his eye opened for this special student destined
to come one day. Draycor is tending to his training classes with several local
boys who were curious about the powers of the LightSpring.

Seyloren Kestroleth, a local student, aging around
17 in years, emerges from his hut on the western part of the little town. Seyloren
is a tall boy, round glasses, scruffy brown hair that partially hid a large scar just under his left temple. Books in hand, Seyloren heads down the road to Master Draycor’s home to enlist in a class to learn
the powers of LightSpring and meanders around down a while. Seyloren never enjoyed
fighting much as he is not very well built. He had always dreamed of becoming
a master in the art of LightSpring because he always thought he might enjoy the benefits of the LightSpring’s powers. He enjoyed helping people and is considered a well brought up young man despite the
sudden death of his parents when he was just a young boy. No one could explain
to him what happened, so he accepted his loss and hoped he would know the truth someday.
Master Draycor had taken Seyloren in as a son that he never had. He never
taught Seyloren any spells or tricks as he wanted him to live his own life. Draycor
had been gracious enough to give Seyloren his house at the other end of town as his training facility had become his home.
Seyloren never thought much about what he would
do when he grew into a man, but he had the normal tendencies of a teenager and didn’t really worry himself with these
things. On his way to Draycor’s dojo, he passes the home of the love of
his life, Fiona Boreon. Fiona is a middle-height, blonde girl who is the sweetest
girl you would meet in this town. Unfortunately, Fiona is not aware of this “love”
Seyloren had for her, and he continued to keep it a secret. Fiona is a very cute
young girl, age of 16 years, who never saw anything for what it appeared. She
is not someone who took pride in her looks, as she never looked in a mirror. She
had a beautiful figure, but didn’t stress to keep it that way. She is a
very beautiful girl with a one-track mind. She is always thinking about the sea. Fiona had always wanted to travel and see new things, but in this little country of
Diyanæn, you rarely got that chance.

Off in the distant recesses of Taronen, an evil
is gaining power with each death of LightSpring mages across the land. This evil
force is too small to be detected, but it is growing everyday and it will not take long to start spreading…
